Our pathology laboratory tissues, reports and slides are stored for 10 years.

Pathology Tissue storage It’s important to trust the pathologists who are evaluating your tissues and make sure that they are providing you and your patients the highest quality of care. We store your tissues, slides and reports for at least 10 years so they are readily available for any future evaluations. It’s like insurance for you and your patients, as well as continuing quality care. Ask your current pathology laboratory how long they store your materials – if it’s just for a few days or weeks, you need to consider the quality of care you could be providing your patients if you were using Surgical Pathology Laboratories. Surgical Margins, Biopsies and Mohs Technique

Lewis-BiopGraphicDr. Martin Lewis demonstrates how taking the entire perimeter of a frozen section and laying it out flat is a better method for looking at the entire margin versus the traditional slicing method. This is similar to the Mohs technique, except the evaluation is completed in 15-20 minutes instead of hours.

Dr. Lewis also explains the value of biopsies and how they are used in this two-minute video on the right. Consider evaluating a Surgical Pathology Laboratories mobile lab solution for you and your patients – give us a call at 727.545.2339.
